a passion project Turned
into a Real Dream!
Hi, i’m Max, the one behind Smile Cowboy!
I’m a passionate designer/artist looking to inspire others. I didn’t just wanna sell stickers and art.
I want to make people feel happy, laugh, and EXPRESS THEMSELVES for who they are! sharing these moments with others is what brings us all closer TOGETHER.
Feelings are what make us human!
ABOUT ME
A bit about myself: I grew up split between Illinois and Mississippi. I've always had a love for art and design. I was so drawn to it that I started designing in Google Docs back in 5th grade. I've always been pretty intuitive, and I just knew these things needed to be made by someone.
Art and design are in my blood. My grandpa drew in the style of those old goofy newspaper cartoons, but never pursued it further. I'd like to think I inherited his goofy side, because I love to laugh and create things that make other people laugh, too!
Design isn't my only outlet, though I love sculpture and drawing as well. I even used to do caricatures for a while!
You'll most likely catch me in a southern-style graphic tee and a hat. I'm very particular about the graphics. I wear the style, colors, and fonts all have to fit my personality and design aesthetic. I may look like your average country boy, but looks can be deceiving. It's never been about image for me; I just genuinely love the way things look.
I'm also a huge stickler for craftsmanship and quality, and I mean everything literally. Take my cowboy boots, easy to slip on, comfortable, and built to last. That's quality you can feel. The same goes for food; I'd much rather reach for something organic and thoughtfully sourced than just whatever's convenient. When something is made with care, I notice it, and I appreciate it on a whole different level.
I'll admit, this might just be the perfectionist in me. And I do recognize that not everything needs to be built to last forever a paper cup is meant to be temporary, and that's perfectly fine. But when something is meant to endure, I think it's worth doing right. Craftsmanship isn't about being picky for the sake of it; it's about respecting the things you invest your time, money, and life into."
